Type of Material: Previously Classified Materials Release
The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum has opened to the public recently declassified National Security Council (NSC) records. In addition to 271 documents processed in response to mandatory declassification review requests, the opening includes systematic review done for files from the NSC Country Files for the Far East, Europe, and Africa, and Presidential Correspondence. This release includes 5 boxes of newly declassified materials.
This opening follows the Library's other recent systematic review opening on August 9, 2024, which included NSC Country Files for the Far East (including Laos, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand), Henry A. Kissinger Evening and Noon Notes, and Situation Room Logs.
